Dr. Krishna Konakondla is a board certified, fellowship-trained primary care Sports Medicine physician. His main areas of clinical interests are in Sports and Musculoskeletal Medicine, applications of Diagnostic and Interventional Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, Preventative and Regenerative Musculoskeletal Care, non-operative Orthopedics, as well as Nutrition and overall Wellness.
He completed his residency training in Family Medicine at New York Medical College at Hoboken University Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. Thereafter pursuing specialization in a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the New York Medical College program. He is trained to perform a variety of minimally invasive musculoskeletal procedures, some examples include injections into joints, ligaments and tendons (from steroids to orthobiologics), tenotomy, fenestration and hydrodissection. Using real-time and dynamic ultrasound imaging techniques, Dr. Konakondla is able to safely and securely target the intended anatomy.
Dr. Konakondla is a member of several professional entities, including the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, American College of Sports Medicine, American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine, American Medical Association and American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Konakondla emphasizes on establishing a collaborative treatment plan, empowering the patient, incorporating readily available on-site modalities to meet therapeutic goals and implementing the latest evidence-based practices as a treating physician.
