Dr. Oleksiy (Alex) Lelyanov immigrated to the United States from Ukraine in 1997. Since then, he has remained a New Jersey resident, completing high-school in the small town of Bound Brook in central NJ and then graduating with Honors from Rutgers University New Brunswick with Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Lelyanov has always felt drawn to the field of medicine. In 2009, he entered medical school, at what was then the UUMDNJ – School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM), and graduated in 2013.
Dr. Lelyanov completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in 2014 and went on to complete Anesthesiology residency at the Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in June, 2017. He then completed an Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at Rutgers-RWJMS in June, 2018.
In the field of Pain Medicine, Dr. Lelyanov is particularly interested in interventional procedures including neuromodulation techniques such as spinal cord stimulation and peripheral nerve stimulation, interlaminar, caudal, and transforminal epidural injections, endoscopic procedures, ablations, and many other interventional procedures.
Dr. Lelyanov enjoys spending time with family and hopes to travel to as many places in the world as possible.
